The Rainman Foundation was established in 1997 through a parental initiative. From the beginning, the foundation's work has been supported by professionals dealing with autism in the county, and this support continues to this day. The main goal of the foundation is to unite individuals with autism and their families in Vas County, support their rehabilitation, improve their quality of life, and advocate for their rights.
Since 2006, the foundation has organized parent and adolescent club activities and provided therapeutic opportunities for those affected. In 2009, the foundation further expanded its range of services.
With the support of the Public Foundation for the Chance of the Disabled and the assistance of the Municipality of Szombathely, it opened the House of Tomorrow Residential Home, which provides housing, employment, and habilitation-rehabilitation support for 10 young people with autism.
