The For Autistic Individuals in Zala Foundation was established in February 1994 as a result of the collaboration of concerned parents and special education professionals. Their goal is to provide assistance to young people affected by autism and their families.
"Developing and supervising individuals with autism who struggle with communication difficulties poses significant challenges for families. Throughout its operations, our foundation emphasizes the need to support not only individuals with autism but also to relieve their families. We considered the establishment of our Boncodfölde shelter extremely important because, despite the growing demand, there are currently only a few residential shelters for people with autism in Hungary, with a total capacity of just 50-60 individuals. There are approximately 20,000 to 23,000 people with autism living in Hungary."
